Craft Mold Mate Platinum-based molding silicone is a 2K platinum-based molding silicone that cures at room temperature.

Excellent for creating molds for epoxy, wax, plastics, and polyester resin.

Widely used in the production of products from plaster and artificial stone: facade elements of decoration: moldings, decorative facing tiles, furniture fittings and restoration work.

Molds on the basis of silicone Craft Mold Mate do not emit moisture and oil, so the surface of the casting does not get cloudy and does not lose gloss.

Unlike silicones based on tin catalysts, they have a longer life and are more resistant to aggressive environments.

Features of Craft mold Mate silicone on platinum:

- non-toxic;
- odorless;
- no shrinkage;
- has high elasticity and resistance to tearing;
- has excellent fluidity and allows you to reproduce the smallest details;
- maintains the stability of size and shape over a long period of time;
- has a long service life of the finished molds.

IMPORTANT DATA

! IMPORTANT !
Platinum silicone has the property of inhibiting - not curing in contact with the following substances:

- The adhesive layer of painter's tape;
- wax;
- stearin;
- beeswax;
- sculpting plasticine;
- latex;
- sulfur-based clays;
- tin-based silicone;
- amines;
- nitriles;
- compounds containing organometallic salts.

If you are unsure of the composition of your master model, be sure to perform tests before pouring. Contact with the above compositions can lead to unremovable stickiness on the surface of the polymerized mold. It is not recommended to wipe the future model with alcohol. If the model happens to be stained with uncured silicone, the model can be cleaned with gasoline.

Storage

The material should be stored in a tightly closed container, avoiding direct sunlight.
Avoid cooling the material below 0 degrees Celsius.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

Make sure that the components have a temperature of 20-25 degrees Celsius. If material is stored in a cold room or after transportation in cold weather, it may take several hours for the material to reach the proper temperature. The optimum room temperature during molding should be 20-25°C and with a humidity of no more than 50%.

Thoroughly mix the components A and B separately before starting work with two different stir sticks.

Add silicone colorant to component A to obtain a colored mass. Coloring of the component helps to visually control the quality of mixing of the components in the future, since silicone components are translucent we recommend being more careful when mixing the components without coloring.

Mix the components in a dry clean container for 3 minutes in a ratio of 1A:1B by weight until visually homogeneous. Mechanical mixing with a suitable mixer for silicones at low speed is permissible to avoid aerating the mixture. Do not forget to remove the mixture from the walls of the container so that no unmixed components are left on the walls of the container.

Pour the silicone mixture, trying to pour evenly into one point, keeping the container as low as possible - this way you minimize the entry of air into the mold.

Set the mold at rest on a flat horizontal (important!) surface to complete the curing process.

Take out the silicone mold carefully without using sharp objects. For easier separation of the model from the mold, use a release spray.

PRACTICAL TIPS

Using a degassing chamber improves the quality of the products.

If you do not use a degassing chamber, first mix a small amount of silicone and brush gently over the master model. Remove bubbles on the master model in a thin layer of silicone. After curing, mix more components A and B and fill the mold to the desired level.
