How to Create a 3D Stone Cluster in Resin Art
Step 1 – Create the Base
Pour and design your initial resin artwork.
Allow the resin layer to cure for approximately 8–10 hours, until firm but slightly receptive for bonding.
Step 2 – Build the Structure
Using a hot glue gun, attach large natural stones to the surface, forming “islands” or cluster foundations.
Step 3 – Add Depth & Shimmer
Pour a second layer of transparent epoxy resin.
Inlay smaller stones and decorative glass chips around the cluster to create a shimmering, dimensional quartz effect.
This layered technique produces a realistic crystal formation with depth and brilliance.
